Welcome to WyoChinookWinds Chinooks!

WyoChinookWinds Chinooks is located in Casper, Wyoming, the central part of the state. We are excited to be part of conserving this precious breed.

Chinooks are a rare American dog breed originally native to New England.  Chinooks were originally bred to be sled dogs in the late 1800's.  They are affectionate, intelligent and social dogs.  These characteristics make them great companions and family dogs.   Chinooks are great outdoor dogs.  They are happy pulling a sled, skijoring, hiking, camping, competing in agility, and scent training. They like to be with their people and do what their people like to do.

We are excited to be starting our own kennel with the help and support of MountainThunder Chinooks.  We are fortunate to have people with their extensive knowledge of this breed guiding us. Thank you Karen and Dave!
